Hand-wrought in a traditional wire-on-plate design the pendant features four purple garnets in all their rich red-purple glory enhanced by a single green quartz at the bottom representing the jungle that the mantis calls home.

One of the rarest stones in the garnet family, purple garnets or umbalite stand out for their vibrant rich shades of pink and purple. This stone is currently only found in Tanzania’s Umba river valley and shady gem dealers often try to pass off lesser garnets as the rare umbalite.
