While there are many types, a small handful are prized for food, pearls or as in our case their wonderfully iridescent shells. Abalone has suffered globally from overfishing, poaching and pollution. We source our shells from traditional fishing communities who work to preserve Indonesia’s marine biodiversity for future generations.
