Sheltered Waters Pendant

Along Bali’s Southern & Western coasts, the powerful swells that make us a surfer’s mecca can for our fishermen be a deadly threat. This pendant, inspired by the few sheltered inlets that allow our fishermen some respite & peace, takes its design from the traditional view that seeing ducks in a mangrove, bay or inlet means that fishermen can safely shelter there from any storm. 

Ducks are powerful symbols here, associated with fertility, prosperity and family, their presence, especially in rice fields signifies good luck.

Amethyst has long been used to achieve emotional balance, bring wisdom and dispel negative energy. It is also connected to purification and the spiritual plane.

Iolite, sometimes called the “Viking’s Compass”, is said to carry with it the spirit of balance, exploration and dreams. Its soothing purples also serve as a calming influence.
